CPNP Notification for Cosmetics
We compile the Product Information File (PIF) and notify your product in the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP). The CPNP is a free of charge online notification system created for the implementation of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
Why must cosmetics be notified in the CPNP
For a cosmetic product to be placed in the market, a responsible person must be designated within the EU for this product.
According to Article 13 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, the responsible person must submit to the CPNP information about the products they place or make available on the European market.
Once a product appears in the CPNP, there is no need for any further notification at national level within the EU.
What is a PIF
The responsible person must keep a Product Information File (PIF) for every product placed on the market. The PIF must be kept for a period of 10 years following the date on which the last batch of the cosmetic product launched in the market.
We compile your PIF based on the documentation you submit to us.
